Layered

Turtleneck: Uniqlo, Shirt: Madewell, Jacket: Urban Outfitters, Jeans: Rag & Bone, Bag; Balenciaga, Booties: Isabel Marant

I took these pictures last weekend when it was rainy and a little cold outside. I was happy to somewhat layer a little bit even if it was just for a day. I really love this look mainly because someone told me I look like Harry Styles. #hellya

Hope all of you have a fun weekend! :)

D-Ring Skirt

T-Shirt: H&M, Bag: Balenciaga, Skirt: Zara, Heels: Zara

Good morning, lovelies! Hope your week is going well so far.

Sooo..I got this skirt on sale from the last season at Zara. Originally it reached just below my mid-calf. It was too long for my little legs so I had it hemmed (at least 6 inches) to just above my knee and now I love it even more. I cannot stress enough the importance of a good tailor when you're short like I am!
I think the burnt orange color is really pretty and surprisingly really versatile. It reminds me a little of the skirt Audrey Hepburn wears in Roman Holiday... which is one of my all time favorite movies so maybe that's why I was drawn to it in the first place.

Enjoy!

Want Want Want!

Sunglasses: Ray Ban
Sweater: Bella Freud
Skirt: Adam Lippes
Brogues: Celine

Welcome back! More sh*t I can't afford! Regardless of the price, I love the color palette of this look and all the different textures. Suede is huge this season and this skirt is absolutely killin' it. I would probably opt for a mini instead of midi because mini's are my thing. But I'm hoping I stumble upon a cheaper version; I love this shade of pink! I would almost guarantee finding a cheap suede anything at a thrift store could be formed into a skirt somehow...so it's time to start hunting!

Right at the top of my never ending wish list is this Bella Freud sweater. I've been a huge fan of Bella Freud for awhile now. If you're not already familiar with the brand, please please please check them out! The statements on the sweaters are cute and dainty enough to make them go with literally everything.

Hope you find some inspiration with this!

The Neckerchief

Sweater: Zara, Jeans: AG Jeans via The Outnet, Belt & Scarf: H&M, Bag: Balenciaga, Boots: Isabel Marant

Hello everyone, happy Monday! Well, actually it sucks that the weekend is over...but I'm trying to make the best of it.

I'm starting the week off right with my cute little neckerchief from H&M. Saint Laurent had a polka dot scarf similar to this one, but this one from H&M was only $6 and the Saint Laurent one was probably $400...or more. I think I made the smarter choice here. I can use the remaining $394 to feed myself for the next few months. Woo! I'm also shying away from my usual skinny jean uniform by testing out these flared AG Jeans. What do you think? Cuz I think I'm lovin' them!

Weekly Inspo

Image via Tumblr

Love this shearling coat paired with a leopard print blouse. I'm hoping one day I can find a coat similar to this at a thrift store and completely fall in love with it!

Who's watching the Oscars tonight? Any predictions?

Have a great week! xo

Inspo For The Week

img via Tumblr

Sienna Miller is looking flawless in this Celine knitted dress! The pattern and color combination on this dress is so fun. What a great dress for the transition into Spring. I could imagine myself wearing it out to brunch with friends. If I could, I would get my hands on that dress so fast. But I doubt it would look as good on me lol!

Sienna stars in the Oscar-nominated movie 'American Sniper.' If you haven't already, I would definitely find a way to see this film. What an inspiring story! Sienna and co-star Bradley Cooper are great together!

Anyways, thank you Sienna for the inspiration!

Sh*t I Can't Afford

Sweater: Equipment
Jeans: Frame Denim
Pumps: Valentino

ALTERNATIVES:
Sweater: Uniqlo
Jeans: H&M
Scarf: ASOS

Welcome to the new series which is properly titled 'Sh*t I Can't Afford'! I'll be posting some of my dream outfit combinations and hopefully on a somewhat consistent basis be able to provide more affordable alternatives for you all! Let's face it, the average shopper can't afford all of these items, but smart shoppers can easily recreate any look. But if you can afford these items, please by all means help yourself! Just don't let me get too close because I am not going to be responsible for my actions. Example: I might steal these Valentino pumps right off your feet. They've been on my wish list for years but I just can't seem to save up enough money for them.. #theperfectshoes

Anyways, a simple camel sweater, dark jeans, and your standard $5 red bandana would recreate this outfit flawlessly. You'll definitely catch me reppin' some neckerchiefs like this for the next few months.

And FYI click the links above to shop the items and alternatives!

NYC post card

The Top Of The Rock Observation Deck has to be one of my favorite places in the world. I've made it a point to visit every time I'm in New York. New York inspires me every time I visit and with views like this, how could you not be inspired? I feel so motivated after the crazy Manhattan vibes. Can't wait to go back!
